Swamp TV: Immunity for Blackwater guards

Blackwater is a terrorist organization. No More, No Less.

The State Department would consider their own actions as evidence of State support for terrorism if they were taken by any other government on earth.

Imagine the outcry from Secretary Rice if Iran's Foreign Ministry granted immunity to mercenaries who killed Iraqi civilians.

So, Condi approved this immunity? That's the implication.

She is a total disaster. And think how many more bumbles she can produce between now and January, 09.

What is with this "immunity" concept for corporations that break the law for the White House? Do we really want a code of law that only applies to the people, but not to the powerful? It's like the President has a perfect system. He gets corporations to break US Laws, and then if (IF) they get caught, well then he can just go ahead and grant them immunity. Nice and clean. Law broken, no consequences. See how that works? Isn't that nice?

This is a horrible, dangerous precedent to be setting. If those in power can give retroactive immunity to lawbreakers, then THERE IS NO LAW!

I don't know why it is a big deal if the immunity just means we can't use their previous testimony.

Can't we just waterboard them and have them confess again? After all it isn't torture.

noone was givin immunity...mr. erik prince stated that BW employees have to fill out a reports every time their weapon is fired...BW has clearance and it is written that their words can't be used against them if it is true...

with that said...the reason the news article continue to say "no one contradicts the iraqi report" is another way of calling BW liars...

these articles truly are wrote to make a public opinion that BW had immunity even though they don't because these spin masters know BW didn't do anything and are not going to be prosecuted...

how about the guy on a bicycle that blows up iraqi recruits...the guy is dressed as a civilian and where is the OUTRAGE...where was the security?...in one breathe maliki condems BW and in another says how brave the iraqis were that were blown up with iranian mercencies directing the incident with immunity from IRAN...

There are regular American military troops being court martialed for, among other things, missing movement, or conduct unbecoming an officer. These charges, and convictions come with jail time. Its reported that Blackwater committed murder on Iraqi civilians--much, much worse than going AWOL, or, sadly, taking pictures of prisoners being humiliated. If Cheney did give Blackwater immunity, all branches of the military should be going crazy nuts right now. Also, if Cheney, again, wants to block the truth--this time about Blackwater-- the world court needs to be given all names of those associated with Blackwater, and those people need to be detained for trial outside of America if they ever step foot in another country. (All BW associates should be under the same general umbrella until the truth can be known, and BW murder culprits and BW nonculprits can fight it out) If we don't bring Blackwater to trial, or allow the Iraqis to do this, again, Cheney/Bush will have brought more hate to Americans, and increased insurgent recruitment. This leads to Americans being less and less secure. The Department of "Homeland" (American) Security should be all over this, and congress should be pushing for ongoing hearings, and continue to call BS on the funky immunity.

nah, jack bauer isn't a real person...so if ur looking for jack bauer it could get difficult...keifer sutherland is not jack bauer...and talking to the writers who invented and script jack bauer doesn't count either!!!

i am going to stick to the subject at hand in regards to the news articl abou the alleged witness statements to the FBI...

being that the reason the FBI is asking these alleged witnesses if blackwater was fired upon first is because of the casing found at the scence 20 minutes after the incident...

from the proganda machine of iraq and american news media outlets it was said that blackwater had more guns fired during this incident then the weapons turned over the the FBI...which is really code for that blackwater smuggled guns into iraq and used them against civilians...

so, the FBI knows that there is american weapons missing in iraq and SURELY not from blackwater...

in additon, for an American citizen it is a felony to make False Statements to the FBI...conspiracy is also a felony...unfortantely those are laws conducted under our court system and since we DO NOT HAVE A TREATY with iraq these alleged witnesses cannot be extradicted for MAKING FALSE STATEMENTS OF THE FBI & CONSPIRACY TO MAKE FALSE STATEMENTS, AMBUSHING BLACKWATER AND CONSPIRACY TO AMBUSH

in additon these iraqi should be prosecuted under the INTERNATIONALY PROTECTED PERSONS ACT BY THE GENEVA CONVENTIONS...either in iraq, this country or a neutral country...but i don't hear calls for that...
