Santorum flip flops on McCain

I'll have to admit it. He does provide more knowledge with his military experience. McCain offers an object lesson for new pilot recruits. Hey flyboys, avoid flying your jet into missiles!!!

Hey Rick, can you go back to opposing us? You were doing a better job of helping us when you were against us.

I think Rick should have had a little more foresight when he decided to lay into the Arizona Senator like he did some time ago. Everyone knew John McCain was winning and he lambasted him as though he were Lincoln Chafee. That wasn't fair and while we must make sure Senator McCain tows the line when he becomes President, we have to understand that he has a pretty solid conservative record on the social issues.

That's because it concerned one flip-flopper to another flip-flopper!!

Why is it "former" Sen. Rick Santorum?

Perhaps his views do not align with the people that VOTER him out of office. I certainly hope Rick puts his stamp of loss on McCain as well.

YES, I HATED JOHN MCCAIN. I ALWAYS KNEW HE DIDN'T HAVE ANY "FAMILY VALUES" LIKE MINE. I KNOW HE SHORT SIGHTED THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DURING THE "KEATING FIVE" 3.5 BILLION SAVINGS AND LOAN SCANDAL. IT WAS JUST A BANK, IT WAS JUST ELDERLY PEOPLE'S 401K, SOCIAL SECURITY, AND THEIR HOMES THAT WERE LOST.

I KNOW HE TAKES MONEY FROM REV HAGEE, BUT HE DIDN'T WANT TO, HE WAS BROKE.

WE KNOW HE HAS FLIPPED FLOPPED ON EVERY ISSUE AT HAND BUT, HE IS A REPUBLICAN AND AT THE END OF THE DAY, EVEN IF THERE IS NO DAY, WE ALL WILL "CROSSOVER" LEGALLY OR ILLEGALLY AND VOTE FOR HIM.

THERE IS A "BLACK MAN" RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT AMERICA. THERE IS A "WOMAN" RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT, AND THE STAKES ARE HIGH.

SO I TOO, THINK IT IS TIME TO GET SERIOUS AND PROTECT THE COMPANIES, "THE CHAIRMAN" THAT PROTECTED US!

Jill, in any election, folks who support one candidate over another often come around to support the candidate that is the nominee. That is as old as the hills.
While the Queen B and St. Obama have been fighting tooth and nail, and far nastier than any Republican got with another in the primary, aren't some folks hoping they come together in the general election??

Why anyone would care what Rick Santorum has to say is beyond me. The voters in his state heard enough to vote him out. He's another mistake we'd rather forget.

Santorum is now backing the McCainiac's. After 8 years of a puppet we sure as hell don't need someone with a short fuse in the White House.

I'm a Pennsylvanian and in the military. I’ve been voting absentee for 31 years of active duty service and I have to say Rick Santorum was one of the easy pick out of PA politics for a long time. I’ve voted time and time again for Arlen Specter in the “hold nose and pull level mode”. But Rick Santorum was easy. Why, because he is the epitome of what conservative Republicans say was needed to save our party from what is happening to it now. An implosion of candidates and elected officials who do not represent our beliefs once they get into office. I’m not scared of the term RINO because I know the MSM won’t use it. To them, liberal Republicans are just useful idiots until a real liberal Democrat comes along. Do you think Olympia Snow has a snowballs chance in Maine if they could actually find a more liberal candidate than her?

Rick Santorum said what he meant and meant what he said. The only problem he had was the very Republicans who voted him into office got squeamish at the kind of press he got. News Flash!!! My fine conservative friends, we will never, never get a break in the press. They do not like us and their idea of a two party system is the Democratic Party and the victory party they’ll throw after they have wiped all opposition off the face of the political landscape. The way I see it, the only chance our party has is to get back to grass roots and actually stand up for what we believe in. And once we vet, run and get elected candidates that really are conservative, we damn well stand up for them.

So big freaking surprise, Rick Santorum is backing John McCain since the MSM railroaded Mitt Romney out of the primaries. (I guess his church was a little less palatable to them than Senator Obama’s) If Republicans would just say, “Who gives a crap what some liberal and so-call journalist says?” They are not much more than cheerleaders for the Democratic Party. Don’t believe me; just watch any political program from MSNBC. It is non-stop to include a contest on the Olberman show to superimpose Senator McCain’s picture on a green screen and make him into characters such as the evil emperor from the Star Wars movies. There is no equivalent lampooning of Senator Obama on any other network to include FOX News. But poor Senator McCain, didn’t he used to be their “maverick”? Yup, he was a maverick when they needed him. Now he’s the enemy. Like Rick Santorum is now behind Senator McCain, so am I. He’s not my first pick, but he is my party’s candidate and definitely the better of the two.

I’ll tell you the worse thing this old soldier has had to endure in my entire life is 36 months of deployment out of the last 5 years since these wars have started. Not because I think the wars were wrong; both were the exact action to take in both countries. It’s because of the disloyal Democratic Party. Their support for us stopped at a Senate vote and became rank sedition going into the 04 Democratic primaries. Every night from my hooch or in the DFAC while deployed I’ve had to listen to every freaking Democrat get full mike rights so long as they said what our enemy wanted to hear. Senator Obama voted against the war and if it’s the only thing he’s had the onions to make a stand on, then more power to him. If he didn’t think the surge worked then more power to him. But now the politician kicks in as he moves to the center and all of the sudden there’s merit in listening to the commanders and being flexible. I’ve got 14 dead unit members from the last year and a half and it kills me to know the war didn’t have merit for consideration until now. That’s the real flip-flop that means anything in the whole election and my friends deserved better from him.
