What would have been a better backdrop for Sen. John McCain's speech in Kenner, La., than the green sign reading "A leader we can believe in?"
Political comedian Stephen Colbert has challenged his viewers to create new backdrops. Colbert suggested other screens like a lion prowling near McCain's head, dancers, a chariot race or Mars.
Here are some of the videos YouTube posters have come up with:
Here's one with music.
Here's one with President Bush.

Why is this even an article? Colbert is an avid Obama lover who hates all things Republican. He is as much an idiot as Limbaugh and Olberman yet the swamp posts his stuff all the time. Yeah no biased coverage here. You refer to Fox as right wing but do not refer to Colbert as left wing?

Hey Vinny,
Colbert is a comedian and the Swamp is covering the topic as comedy.
Lighten up, Frances...

Not to worry Vinny. Intelligent, decent and caring Americans will never give the keys to the nation to Obama, Soros, Wright and Obama's other hard-left malcontents and America-haters.

Gary, you are the one hating, not Obama.

It's just comedy. It's a little different than Limbaugh and Olberman. Though both of those guys are a joke as well.

Where's GP Bush stationed? Anyone? Anyone?

I don't read this very often but there is definitely a strong Pro Obama bias with the Swamp. Not balanced at all. It also doesn't help this site when there is an official Obama for president advertisement right next to the main story. When you have the lilnk going directly from chicago tribune.com main story section you are misleading the readers. Please relist this under "blog" file where it belongs

My goodness, does anyone laugh anymore, ever? SNL was attacked as pro-Clinton, too. Everything today is percieved as a slight, a message, an opinion. How will you ever make it to November? Get a grip...

People c'mon. Is there an unbiased news source out there anymore?
Posted by: Brian | June 11, 2008 12:32 PM
A couple things:
1. There's an Obama ad next to the article because he PAID for it to be there. That's how ads work.
2. "Unbiased news" has never truly existed. News is written by human beings, and thus biases and even unintentional preferences come into play. Obama probably gets more coverage in Chicago because he's from Chicago. Makes sense to me.
3. My bet is that decent, caring Americans will in fact "give the keys" to Obama, because they do care about the condition this country is in. Bitter, stubborn Americans will resort to name-calling.

Bush and his cronies stole the keys. They've been driving the country for 7 1/2 years now. How's that workin' out for ya? Enough dead soldiers yet? Gas cheap enough yet? Job situation? Stock market? Hmm. Maybe it's time to let an adult drive, and I don't mean a doddering old man who doesn't even know Sunni from Shia.

Did somebody wake up and tell Grandpa Munster that using a green screen as a backdrop might not be the best idea? McCain the Manchurian Candidate is a failure in every regard.

LOL
It's called The Swamp for a reason.
A saturated lowland region.
Enough said.

I'd be interested to know if there's a major Arizona newspaper that is giving its hometown senator more coverage than Obama. Maybe all of you who don't like the Obama coverage here should go find out.
