The Institute of Medicine is holding a workshop to assess the nation's current level of medical readiness to respond to a nuclear detonation of up to 10 kilotons in such large metropolitan areas as the national capital region, Chicago and the San Francisco Bay area.
The Center for American Progress Action Fund is hosting a discussion on how the next president can best model the success of FDR's achievements during the first 100 days of his presidency.
