Here are a few Washington events of note for Tuesday, July 1.
President Bush is attending Republican campaign events in Mississippi and Arkansas.
The Center for Strategic and International Studies and the National Committee on North Korea are holding a forum with Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill for an update on the six-way talks about North Korea's nuclear program.
The International Monetary Fund is presenting a broad assessment of the impact of the surge in food and fuel prices on the balance of payments, budgets, prices and poverty in various countries.
